Our client was originally using an employee time sheet management system which was developed using ASP.NET and which utilized third-party AJAX grid controls. The system was slow and cumbersome to use and simple processes such as entering a week’s times or approving a time sheet took several steps and server post backs. Moreover, the user interface wasn’t aesthetically pleasing at all.
We re-designed the ASP.NET web application and used Silverlight controls for the UI, eliminating the dependency on 3rd party controls and achieving a smooth user interaction. The system implements features to support a sophisticated workflow to be used in large organizational hierarchies. There are multiple levels time sheet approval and feedback options.
